Bobcat on my tightrope

On my last day at the Headlands gym, I was about to tighten the rope when I looked outside and a bobcat had perched at the end of it, like it had been his the whole time.... He was so cool he didn't even have to look at me - just another magical thing that happened during my time in that gym...

Headlands Open House and Grad Fellows Exhibition

Trying to finish things up for these upcoming events at the Headlands (and trying to keep personal injuries to a minimum...so far I've slammed my  thumb into the car door, scraped a few knuckles on concrete, and fell in a very strange way off the rope....no more!)

Headlands Summer Open House July 29th

http://www.headlands.org/event/summer-open-house/

I couldn't be happier to have a studio out at the Marin Headlands for the next year as part of the graduate fellowship for UC Berkeley. It has always ranked among my top favorite locations in the Bay Area and I feel lucky now to be part of the community there. Since I'm teaching a condensed summer-semester photo class at Berkeley, I haven't had much of a chance to be out there yet, but have tried to make it out one or two times a week, moving things in slowly and trying to include a hike in every trip out there....

If you're around this Sunday, July 29th, stop by for the Summer Open House from 12-5pm!
