Love Your Mission Day at Plaza 16


The opening for these photos is scheduled for Thursday, February 8, from 3 to 5 PM. If it rains, it will be re-scheduled to Monday, February 12th, from 3 to 5 PM. The event will take place at Plaza 16, the 16th Street BART Station’s southwest plaza, in the Mission District of San Francisco, CA.

Event includes: the opening of “Ladies' Night,” a series of individual portraits of Mission Women by Kari Orvik. The photographs were taken at the Mission Neighborhood Resource Center with participants from Ladies' Night.
Meet the women behind the portraits! The women from Ladies' Night will be on site to speak to the public.

Performances by youth from Horizons Unlimited of San Francisco’s DJ Project.
“Jambory,” The Good Samaritan Family Resource Center’s Teen Program presents a fusion of traditional and contemporary Afro-Latino percussion, dance, and poetry, in one performance. Also featuring information tables from community organizations.
